Christopher in September

Chris is a friend of mine whom I have known since elementary school. He recently moved to Seattle to start a new chapter in his life and I really wanted to photograph him before he left. I’m finally getting to post these!

Our photo adventure was quite a trek. The location we were looking for took me forever to find it, even after previously photographing there, only to find out that it now had a lock and a private property sign. I didn’t feel like being a risk taker so we explored other places around the area. We found a nice little grassy area with light streaming through the trees that I liked so we hopped out of the car and onto someone’s property line. The grass looked splendid from afar. Every step in it though was fulled with spiders and I just so happened to not wear boots that day. Great. But we got through the shoot, despite my screams!

We then drove around and saw some kind of police encounter along the way to another location. Among getting lost, we passed said encounter probably about 4 times before finding our way out of there. Flanking the original location we were to shoot at was this adorably green and sticker filled (oops) hillside that was just perfect. The light was just falling over the ends of the foliage before finally setting, as Chris looked out over the horizon, coincidentally in the direction of his new life and new adventures.

Cheers
